Here at Lawrence Hall Ford, we are happy to announce that the 2022 Ford F-150 is the best-selling, full-size pickup truck in the North American market. This isn't a new status for Ford's flagship truck. In fact, it's been on top for decades. Ford's F-series trucks have come in first place in sales for over 45 years. Even more impressive is that Ford's F-series trucks have been the best-selling vehicles of any type for most of those years. This is a testament to their performance, capabilities, reliability, and overall design.

Americans love their trucks, and the F-150 remains their favorite pick for at least another year. While the automotive industry as a whole took a downturn between 2019 and 2021, the Ford F-150 seemed to be unfazed. In 2019, Ford sold 448,398 F-150 trucks. To get a good idea of how successful that is, it's important to look at the truck that came in second.

Ford's competition sold 299,480 units. That's not too bad but it falls far short of the F-150's sales. So far in 2022, Ford has sold 299,345 F-150 trucks, as of the latest figures from July. That's more than their closest competitor sold for the entire 2019 year.

The Ford F-150 does everything that one could want from a truck and does all of those things well. It offers fantastic hauling and towing capabilities. It can tackle serious off-road duties too. Ford also packs a lot of modern tech and safety features into their latest F-150 trucks. Truck aficionados will be happy to know that the Ford F-150 also has a comfortable interior that's a pleasure to spend time in. The F-150 is a versatile, do-anything, and go-anywhere type of truck that looks to stay on top for years.
